FAQs

Are meetings in person or remote?
This semester, we are taking a hybrid approach to meetings. Some of our meetings will be in person, and some will be online. Our schedule will make it clear which meetings will be which format. If virtual, we will email a Zoom link to attend.

When are WIBC Meetings?
Our bi-weekly body meetings will be on Tuesdays at 7:30 PM.

When are WIBternship Meetings?
WIBternships are every other Tuesday (on the Tuesdays when we don't have body meetings), and these are required for freshman and sophomore new members.

How do I become a member?
New and returning members should pay dues, request Garnet Gate membership, and join the Group Me. Once you complete these steps, you are a member and may attend all meetings and events!

What are the requirements for staying a member?

New members: Freshmen and sophomores must complete Wibternship. In addition, every member must obtain 16 points by attending body meetings and social events.

Returning members: Must obtain 16 points by attending body meetings and social events.

How does the Point System work?
Every member needs 16 points, which can be earned through the attendance of Body Meetings and Social Events

This is the equivalent of 5 out of 7 body meetings and 1 social event.

Wibternship does not count for points, but new members are still required to complete wibternship

Body Meetings: 3 points
Social Events: vary between 1 to 2 points

Point Penalties
Members who register & don’t attend social events (or cancel without warning) will receive a penalty.
1st Offense: Reminder & warning
2nd Offense: 1 Point removed
3rd Offense: Restriction of events sign-up/registration

How do I request Garnet Gate membership?
Head to our Garnet Gate page and click "Join". Your request will be accepted once we receive your dues!

What do I have to do as a returning member?
