We are the Women in Business Council and we connect, empower, and educate women so that they may become respected leaders in business and the community. 

Our council is open to all majors at the University of South Carolina.

Dorie Speer

Chief Executive Officer
 

Hey everyone! I am a senior Human Resources Management Major with a concentration in Data Analytics. I have been involved with WIBC since my freshman year and I am so excited to spend my last semester with you all. Upon graduation, I will be moving to Los Angeles and working as an Associate Manager of Client Strategy and Analytics for an ad tech agency. I am forever grateful to have been able to connect with such powerful women throughout my past 4 years in this organization.

Hi, I’m Erin and I’m a senior Human Resources and Marketing major with a Data Analytics concentration. I’ve interned at a tech startup and my last internship was at Exelon Energy as an Customer Success and Analytics Intern. In my free time I love to go on walks, go to the gym, read, or try different coffee shops!

Hundley Coleman

Hi! I’m a senior double majoring in Finance and Operations and Supply Chain with a concentration in Data Analytics. I joined Women in Business Council at the end of my freshman year and currently serve as the Chief Financial Officer. Along with WIBC, I am also a member of the Finance Scholars program, the Honors College, Delta Zeta, and Delight. In my free time I enjoy exercising (barre is my favorite!!), reading, and being outdoors. This past summer I worked for McKinsey & Company as a Business Analyst Intern and will be returning full time after graduation. I have loved being a part of WIBC and can’t wait to meet more empowering women!

Samantha Day

Hi! I'm a senior, double majoring in Marketing + HR Management with minors in Public Relations + Advertisement. I was born and raised in Gilbert, SC and have been a member of WIBC since my sophomore year.  My days stay busy with school, but I'm also the Communications Intern for the South Carolina Department of Agriculture. There I run several state farmers market social media accounts and write press releases and articles for the Market Bulletin. I have loved being a part of WIBC and look forward to my last semester serving as your CMO!

Celia Casciani

I am a Senior majoring in International Business and Finance and minoring in French with a concentration in Business Analytics. I am excited to continue serving WIBC as COO! I am in the Honors College and am creating comics about the lives of UofSC students as part of my senior thesis. This past summer, I interned with the London Stock Exchange Group on their Equity Analytics team. I am part of the Accelerated Master of International Business program, so upon graduation, I will be continuing my education here at UofSC and hope to study abroad after that!

Yasmeen Caswell

I am a sophomore majoring in International Business and Marketing, and minoring in Spanish. Along with WIBC, I am on the morale team for Dance Marathon at UofSC, in the sorority Alpha Gamma Delta, and work at the Student Success Center on campus. This is my third semester in WIBC and I am so excited to join the executive team. I am so excited for an awesome semester of Women in Business!

Sydney Marcuzzi

My name is Sydney Marcuzzi and I’m a Junior Marketing and Entrepreneurial Management double major with a minor in graphic design. This is my fifth semester with WIBC and I’m so excited to join the executive team. Along with WIBC, I am involved with Kappa Kappa Gamma and I am the Public Relations Chair for Habitat for Humanity. Currently, I have a remote Marketing and Public Relations Internship with a communications company located in Atlanta. I am so grateful to be surrounded around empowering, motivated women.

I am a junior majoring in HR management and marketing with a minor in event management. This is my 6th semester in WIBC and I have previously served on the University Affairs committee. I am excited to plan and execute new ideas and events within the WIBternship, Mentorship and Outreach committees this semester! Outside of WIBC, I am part of HRTM Event Planners, UofSC AMA, and UofSC SHRM. I have past experiences as a marketing intern for a local wedding planner and Amarok, a perimeter security company. This summer I will be an HR intern at Apex Tool Group. Next fall, I will be a part of the accelerated Masters of Human Resources program here at UofSC. I am looking forward to another great semester with WIBC!!

Maggie Sattler

I am a senior International Business and Finance major with a Spanish minor. I joined WIBC my freshman year and I am so excited to be taking on my second exec role. In addition to WIBC, I am involved in Kappa Delta sorority and served on the International Business Student Advisory Council for two years. I also work part time at barre3 and have had several internships within the financial services industry. Following graduation, I will be working as a Wealth Analyst for Truist Financial Corporation in Charlotte, North Carolina. I am so excited for another great year with WIBC!

Sydney Stoever

I am a senior in the Darla Moore School of Business double majoring in Marketing and Real Estate with a minor in Advertising & Public Relations. Along with the Women in Business Council, I am involved with the American Marketing Association and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. Last semester I obtained a role as a Marketing & Public Relations intern for the South Carolina Small Business Chamber of Commerce, a statewide advocacy organization that works to make South Carolina more small business friendly. Currently, I am a Marketing Intern at the Scion Group and pursuing my real estate license. I am excited to continue this semester with the Women in Business Council in my new role as the Director of Recruitment & Retention!
