WHO WE ARE
We are the Women in Business Council and we connect, empower, and educate women so that they may become respected leaders in business and the community.
Our council is open to all majors at the University of South Carolina.
Our organization aims to help students develop and practice professional skills that are beneficial to their future careers. We hold bi-weekly meetings that feature a range of guest speakers from different companies who provide insight into their field and offer advice to members. New members are invited to become a part of our WIBternship program, which is composed of a series of workshops, a group interview, and a case competition at the end of the semester. Outside of meetings, there are plenty of social/networking opportunities to engage in!

Hey! I’m a senior double majoring in International Business and Marketing with a minor in Spanish. I have been in WIBC since my freshman year and had the opportunity to serve as Director of Media and CMO prior to becoming President. I’ve interned at ReVive Skincare as an International Sales Development intern, and at Hilton as a Content Strategy & Planning intern. Looking forward to another great year with WIBC!

Hi everyone! I am a junior from Massachusetts majoring in Operations Supply Chain Management and Finance with a concentration in Data Analytics. I’ve been in WIBC since the fall of my freshman year and have loved it ever since! I’ve served as a committee member, and also as the Director of Media and CFO. I am so excited to serve as the VP. Last summer I had an HR internship within the Department of Defense in Virginia. Outside of WIBC I love to cook, listen to podcasts, workout, and I’m also a U101 Peer Leader! I can’t wait for another amazing semester with you all!

Hi everyone! My name is Hadley Hedges and I’m a sophomore majoring in Finance and Real Estate with a minor in Psychology and concentration in Data Analytics. I’ve been in WIB for 3 semesters and have previously served on the mentorship committee and as Director of Finance last fall. I’m also involved in Carolina Fund, The Honors College Peer Mentor Program, Phi Sigma Pi National Honors Fraternity, and I’m training to be a Darla Ambassador! Hello! My name is Mia and I am from New Jersey! I am a sophomore with a major in Marketing and minor in Advertising/Public Relations. This is my fourth semester in WIBC and I am looking forward to meeting many more new members. Outside of WIBC, I am a part of my sorority, Zeta Tau Alpha, where I serve as the Panhellenic Delegate. I am also a part of the Carolina Investment Foundation. In my free time, I enjoy working out, traveling, and spending time with friends. This summer I am studying abroad in Belgium and France! Hi everyone! My name is Ella Underwood and I am a sophomore from Clover, SC majoring in accounting, minoring in psychology with a concentration in data analytics. I have been a member of WIBC since the fall semester of my freshman year and have truly enjoyed my time so far. Prior to becoming Director of Membership, I served on the Mentorship Committee for two semesters. Outside of WIBC I am involved with Give a Dog a Bone and Beta Alpha Psi. I was also a SI Leader for Math 122 last semester. In my free time I love to lift weights, cycle, read, bake and be with my friends and family! I am looking forward to a great semester!
